We were successful in creating a traditional line of products; replicating the classic style of 19th-century street lamps. However, customers continued looking for traditional AC lights in a solar application.
We learned our customers didn’t want to compromise on the full traditional look. This challenge drove the development and innovation of the GS Solar LED light bulb, which paved the way for Gama Sonic to replicate the look of the traditional AC light bulb in an outdoor solar light setting.
Having this challenge in mind, we knew that our light bulb needed to achieve these key features:
Appearance: Our light bulb needs to have a similar look to the incandescent bulb
Brightness: The design must allow sufficient light performance
Duration: Incorporating Gama Sonics’ technology to allow dusk-to-dawn performance
With a clear vision of how our next generation of solar lights needs to look and perform, we began the journey of developing our new technology.
How Does the Solar LED Light Bulb Work
We took the regular incandescent bulb structure and integrated long-lasting and efficient LED bulbs inside it. We strategically positioned the LED bulbs in a small structure that mimics the filament wire look, while spreading the light to all directions. This positioning creates a maximum blanket of illumination similar to the 360-degree light spread of a customary incandescent bulb.

Lasting for 100,000 hours, the GS Solar LED light bulb requires no replacement and matches the lifespan of the lamps themselves, which is roughly 10 years.
The GS Solar LED light bulb is available in both warm white or bright white temperatures. By default, our solar lamps and lamp posts deliver warm white light, creating a natural look of an incandescent light bulb in a solar lamp setting. If you’re looking for a brighter white color temperature all you need to do is replace the solar light bulb.
