Batteries
At Gama Sonic, our goal is to build the world's best solar lights by providing long lasting light fixtures that are simply built to last! Every light fixture has an integrated Lithium Ion battery pack that is being charged directly by the sun. The life span of our batteries is 3 years and will be good for about 1,000 charges. Once the battery exceeds its life – all you will need to do is simply replace the battery with Gama Sonic’s battery and you are good to go for the next 3 years.
Batteries can be purchased in our Accessories section.
Please locate your model to make sure you are purchasing the correct battery for your product.
WARNING: Do not dispose of Li-Ion batteries in the regular trash, municipal waste stream or by fire as batteries may leak or explode. Do not open, short circuit, or mutilate batteries as injury may occur. Preserve our environment by recycling Li-Ion batteries or disposing of them in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. Do not mix old and new batteries.
Where to locate your Solar Light Fixture?
Solar powered lighting is charged by the sun, therefore it is important not to install the light fixture in a shaded area. Please note that the recharging speed will vary based on weather conditions, so our solar lights must be placed in an area in which the solar light will receive direct sunlight. The solar panels will still charge in cloudy conditions, but at a much slower rate.
For optimum light duration throughout the night, it is very important to place the solar panel in a spot where it will receive the maximum amount of direct sunlight throughout the day. For best results install your solar panel facing the south. Do not install in the area where there is another light source as this may cause the photocell on the lamp to be fooled into thinking it is daytime, causing the lamp to turn off.
